Welcome to Shelburne!

Nestled on the banks of the Androscoggin River, on the northern end of the Mount Washington Valley, sits the quiet, rural town of Shelburne, New Hampshire.

Founded in 1769, the town was named for William Petty Fitzmaurice, Earl of Shelburne, and is now home to approximately 363 residents. 

Shelburne is located on the scenic byway known as the Presidential Range Trail. We belong to the GRS Cooperative, along with Gorham and Randolph, and we are also part of SAU #20. Information in regards to our schools can be found here.

If you need to register a car, motorcycle, trailer, or a dog (cash or check only), the Town Clerk's hours are as follows:




Tuesdays - 12 PM to 6 PM

Wednesdays - 10 AM to 2 PM

For any other business, the Town Office is open Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 6 PM

and Fridays by appointment.

Tax Bills

It's Property Tax Time again!  Tax bills have been sent out and are due JULY 1st.  

The New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration is accepting applications for its Low and Moderate Income Homeowners Property Tax Relief program through June 30.

Sanding Bills

If you requested and received assistance with sanding your driveway this winter, a bill has been mailed to you. Please make checks payable to the Town of Shelburne within 30 days of receipt.
