Tax Collector

The Town of Shelburne has adopted the bi-annual property tax billing process, per NH RSA 76:15-a. The first bill is mailed at the end of May/early June and payment is due around July 1st. The final bill is mailed at the end of October/early November and payment is due around December 1st.

It is the sole responsibility of the property owner to contact the Tax Collector's office for a duplicate property tax bill in the event they do not receive the original bill. Not receiving a tax bill will not preclude the owner's responsibility for payment of the tax and/or interest and penalties incurred.

Bills are sent to the address of the last known owner, asper State law. The Assessor's Office updates its records according to information received from the Coos County Registry of Deeds, only after they have been recorded.

If anyone is having problems paying their taxes, please call the Tax Collector's office for more information on exemptions and credits that may be available.. The deadline to apply for any exemption is April 15th.

Unfortunately, debit/credit cards are not accepted at this time. Tax bill payments must be made in the form of cash or check and can be made in person, by mail, or drop box. Thank you!
